Your special day.

Weddings at the British Motor Museum

A beautiful venue is just the beginning. At Mahirs Experience, we believe the food, the people and the little details are what bring a celebration to life. We would love to hear what you have in mind.

A warm welcome from Mahirs

Thank you for considering us for your special day.

Firstly, congratulations on your forthcoming celebration!

Thank you for considering the British Motor Museum for your wedding. We are Mahirs Experience, a family business with our roots in Birmingham, and we look after weddings here from the first conversation to the last dance: your venue, your food and your team on the day, all in one place.

We know this venue well. We have looked after many celebrations at the British Motor Museum, so we know how to make the most of each space, from how your guests arrive to how the room is dressed and how your food reaches every table.

But what matters most to us is making your celebration feel like yours. We understand how much a wedding means, not just to the couple but to the families coming together. We listen, we learn about your traditions and we prepare your food fresh in our own kitchens.

You do not need to have everything worked out yet. Whether you have a date in mind, are exploring your options or simply want to talk through some ideas, we would love to hear your story.

Food & hospitality

Food for your special day.

At many South Asian weddings, food is one of the things guests look forward to most. We understand that. It is part of the welcome, part of the celebration and part of the memories everyone takes home.

It all starts with a conversation. Tell us about the dishes your family loves, the traditions that matter to you and the kind of atmosphere you want to create. Our chefs bring years of experience in South Asian cooking, but the menu should always feel personal to you.

Whatever your families eat, every dietary and religious requirement is looked after by our team, so both families can relax knowing their guests are in good hands.

From the first bite at your drinks reception to the final sweet treat, we want your guests to feel looked after. Here are four ways we can serve your food, and you can combine them to suit different parts of your celebration.

Every tradition, every table

One caterer for every family.

A South Asian wedding often brings together different faiths, regions and food traditions, and the food has to be right for all of them. With years of experience of South Asian weddings, we can advise you on everything you need for your celebration here, and look after every requirement side by side. There is no need for a separate caterer for each family or faith: every guest is cared for, by one team.

  • Allergies and special dietsAllergen information for every dish, with individual needs looked after for each guest.
  • Vegetarian and veganGenerous, full-flavoured vegetarian and vegan menus that never feel like an afterthought.
  • Faith and family customsAdvice on menus, timings and customs for your ceremonies, so every tradition is honoured on the day.
  • Regional flavoursPunjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, Pakistani, South Indian and more, cooked the way your family knows and loves.

Two suites for your celebration.

The British Motor Museum is a truly unique venue for your wedding, especially if you love cars. Its large, bright, modern rooms are perfect for ceremonies and receptions: the Sky Suite for celebrations of up to 200, and the Conference Suite for up to 450.

  • A private tasting for both families
  • Meet the chefs who will cook on the day
  • Refine dishes, spice levels and presentation

Every wedding is different, so each package is created around your venue, date, guest numbers and menu, with all the finer details set out clearly in your proposal. Tell us your plans and we will start shaping yours.
